AVON Superfull Mascara ($8.50) joins the group
of mascaras (such as those from Cover Girl and Chanel) that have brushes with spiky, variegated rubber bristles rather than
standard nylon bristles. Although this style of brush takes some getting used to-and you can take that from someone who has
tested thousands of mascaras-with practice you can get really impressive results. Avon's contribution is aptly named, because
while it does take some time to build, with effort your lashes end up full, thick, and appreciably long. Clumping is minimal
and the only issue is that the way the rubber bristles deposit mascara tends to leave the tips of your lashes with little
balls of mascara. You need to use a lash comb to eliminate these, and you must do it or you run the risk of flaking during
wear. Other than that caveat, this mascara is enthusiastically recommended.
